Renting a snowmobile and doing an excursion through the virgin mountains of the Pyrenees is an experience that appeals to practically everyone who tries it. This is an activity that anyone can take part in and for which no particular skill is needed. Ideal for individuals, groups, families…

Snowmobile excursions last for 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours depending on the route taken through the Aran Valley Mountains. The excursion is led by a tour guide who will indicate the route to follow, explain how to manage the snowmobile and deal with any problems that may arise. If the group consists of more than 4 snowmobiles another guide will bring up the rear of the group.

The routes chosen through the natural countryside are "off-piste" and difficult to access which means they take place in natural scenery of outstanding beauty, be it while reaching the peak of a mountain or passing through a forest. To rent a snowmobile you must be at least 18 years old and have a driving licence.

The Himàlaia guides will reserve a place for you on this excursion.  Just let us know when you want to take part and the duration of excursion that you want.  You can provide us with this information either when making your online booking or on arrival at the hotel.  Our guides can then tell you about all of the features and routes.

Equipment required: Protective snow-proof clothing against cold, anorak or thermal jacket and trousers (preferably ski trousers, but otherwise any thermal trousers), gloves and suitable footwear (mountain or snow boots), ski sticks, small rucksack, sunglasses, water, energy bars, sun cream, personal belongings and camera or camcorder(recommended).
