Adriā Puig
Adriā Puig
Co-ordinator of the Himālaia guides

Adrià, whom we affectionately call “The Boss”, is the person in charge of the Himàlaia hotels team of guides. With the greatest professionalism, he has been overseeing the organisation and development of every one of the mountain activities for the guests of the Himàlaia hotels.

His academic qualifications in mountain activities are endless: mountain leader-guide, canyoning leader-guide, Nordic walking instructor, leader-guide on vias ferratas, expert member on first aid and mountain rescue teams, guide-interpreter of the National Park of Aigüestortes, etc.

Not only does Adrià love his work, in his spare time and on holidays he adores going on long expeditions in the Alps and climbing the most emblematic mountains around the world. The cordillera of the Andes, the mountains of the Pyrenees, the Alps, the Dolomites and the Himalayas hold no secrets for him, and year after year he sets himself a new challenge to notch up on his long record of the peaks he has conquered. Along with trekking, climbing and canyoning are his favourite activities. He loves organising and leading them for the guests of the Himàlaia hotels during the summer season.

Come and meet him or contact him directly on info@himalaiabaqueira.es and organise your own programme of activities in Andorra. You'll be charmed by his friendliness, energy and dedication to the mountains!

Himālaia Hotels Guide

Dioni, who among us has the nickname “the Gentleman” because of his charismatic presence and wonderfully unfailing cordial manner, both towards his colleagues and towards any guest of Himàlaia Hotels, acts as mountain guide in Val d´Aran, being a specialist in the coordination of activities and programmes for hiking and excursion groups in which all levels of fitness are welcome. Readily adaptable, he has huge empathy and dedication for the needs and wishes of the hiker: this makes him a wonderful companion to have in the mountains.

Dioni has been working for more than 5 years as adventure sports monitor and inbound tourism guide in the mountains of the Aran valley. He has a qualification as a sports expert for skiing and hiking from the Spanish High Mountain School of Benasque and in mountain rescue.

He has an expert knowledge of climbing and of the Pyrenees, where he has reached the summits of nearly all the mountains in the whole range. When it comes to choosing where to spend his leisure time, he counts the Alps, and numerous ravines and vias ferratas in Spanish, Andorran and French territory, amongst his favourites. Get to know this extraordinary person and professional at our “base camp” of Baqueira.
